David Hacham served for 30 years in various intelligence and political-strategic positions in the IDF, including eight years in the Gaza Strip as advisor for Arab affairs to successive commanders of the Southern Command and the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories.

He was actively involved in the Oslo Peace Process and participated in the majority of meetings between Israeli leaders and Yasser Arafat.

Following his military service, Hacham was appointed advisor for Arab Affairs to Ministers of Defense Itzhak Mordechai, Moshe Ahrens, Ehud Barak, Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, Shaul Mofaz, Amir Peretz, and Moshe "Bogie" Yaalon.

Hacham is the author of two books based upon his experiences; Gaza in the Eye of the Storm-The Inside Story of the Intifada and And the Land Was Filled by Hamas- Sheikh Ahmad Yasin and His War Against Israel.
