A former Member of Knesset, Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin was elected to the 20th Knesset on behalf of the Zionist Union, as a member of the Labour party.
Within the confines of her public activities and as wife of a Colonel (res.) i’ which aims to reinforce the bond between the families of reserve duty soldiers and the IDF. The community was founded in recognition of the importance of the reserve duty system and the key role the family plays as a source of support and reinforcement of those performing reserve duty.
Nahmias-Verbin was a member of the House Committee, the Economic Affairs Committee, the Committee for the Rights of the Child, the Subcommittee for Public Transportation and the Subcommittee for the Promotion of Small and Medium Sized Businesses.
In addition, she chaired the Lobby for Industry in Israel, the Lobby for the Israeli Family and the Blue and White Lobby, among others.
She holds an LLB from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an LLM in Commercial Law from the Tel-Aviv Berkley Program. She is a lawyer and industrialist by trade.
