Eli Bar-On concluded his career in the Israel Defense Forces holding the position of instructor at the IDF National Defense College (the INDC).
There he was tasked with mentoring both the group and individual studies of senior, select officials from within Israel and the international community, with a particular focus on matters of national security, strategy, international relations and economics.
Prior to that position Bar-on served as the Deputy Military Advocate General of the IDF (2012 to 2015), where he was in command of approximately 1,000 lawyers and legal experts, including prior to, during and following Operation Pillar of Defense & Operation Protective Edge.
He also served as the Chief Legal Advisor for the IDF in the West Bank from 2009 to 2012.
A prolific lecturer, Bar-on has provided expert presentations to hundreds of high level, international delegations in Israel and throughout the international community.
Bar-on is a graduate of Tel Aviv University where he was awarded a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and, later on, an Executive Master of Business Administration (E.M.B.A.) graduating cum laude.
In 2016 he received a Masters degree in Political Science (M.A.) where he again graduated cum laude.
He is a graduate of the National Defense College of the IDF.
