Major General Efrony served as the Military Advocate General (MAG) of the Israel Defense Forces from 2011-2015.
He also served as the Deputy MAG from 2004 to 2009.
Efrony held various key positions including Chief Defense Counselor and Military Advocate of the IDF Northern Command.
From 1996-1997, Efrony served as Deputy Chief Military Prosecutor. He also served as the Senior Assistant to the CMP and as secretary and legal advisor of a committee of investigation headed by Judge Vinograd, former Chief Justice of Tel Aviv District Court from 1996-1997.
Efrony also served as Head of the military prosecution in the Judea district of the West Bank.
Prior to completing his legal education, Efrony served within the IDF Intelligence Corps for 15 years, reaching the rank of Lt. Col.
He finished his intelligence career as Commander of the central command intelligence unit.
He holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) awarded by the Tel-Aviv University Recanati Business School and an LL.B. from the Tel-Aviv University Buchman School of Law.
