
Before concluding his career as the Commander of the Northern Corps of the IDF, Major General Hacohen held various positions, including Commander of the IDF Colleges, Head of Training & Doctrine Division in the General Staff, Reserve Division Commander of the Northern Command and Commander of the 7th Brigade of the IDF Armor Division.
In 2005, Major General Hacohen oversaw Israel’s disengagement from the Gaza Strip.
Major General Hacohen holds an M.A. in Philosophy and Comparative Literature from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
He is a member of the New State Solution Working Group.
